Peter Holsapple
Peter Holsapple
Peter Holsapple’s first four decades in the music business have provided the world at large with a raft of memorable song craft, recordings of taste and originality, and travels with some of the finest musicians performing. Holsapple has navigated a snaky course through the annals of modern power pop with quality tunes like The dB’s “Love Is For Lovers” or Continental Drifters’ “Invisible Boyfriend.” His versatility on sundry instruments has made him the go-to auxiliary player for groups like R.E.M. and Hootie and the Blowfish. He's played the Apollo Theatre and the Ryman Auditorium. His songs have been played and recorded by Marti Jones, Don Dixon, the Troggs, Claire Lynch, Nada Surf, Bully, the Golden Palominos, Foster & Lloyd and Megafaun. Recently, Holsapple is a charter member of the songwriter collective podcast Radio Free Song Club, where he has turned in a perfect record for submissions over thirty-one episodes since December 2009. He is still waiting for his gold star. Meanwhile, in 2017, after successful appearances for two years at 30A Songwriters Festival, Holsapple is recording anew with an independent album release slated for fall. His new single "Don't Mention The War" b/w "Cinderella Style" is released 2/3/17 on Hawthorne Curve Records through Big Cartel.
The Gershwin Brothers
The Gershwin Brothers
Gershwin Brothers are Lane Steinberg and David Foster, longtime veterans of the NYC pop scene with their bands Bubble and The Wind. They first met in 2015 while performing a live version of the Beach Boys' 'Wild Honey' with a group of local luminaries known as 'Murderers' Row'. Both prolific songwriters, they began collaborating on a steady stream of tunes, some of which will be appearing on the upcoming Murderers' Row album. Jokingly nicknamed the Gershwin Brothers by a friend, the sobriquet stuck and they've recently begun performing their songs together around NYC.
